Vision Statement
To work towards a world in which the natural neurological diversity within the spectrum of humanity is respected, appreciated, and included within all aspects of society.
Mission Statement
Stephanie Allen Crist commits:
- To educating the general public on the nature and implications of neurological diversity.
- To creating an atmosphere of respect, consideration, appreciation, and inclusion for the purpose of enabling, strengthening, and supporting the full spectrum of humanity.
- To advocating with children and adults for the acceptance and appreciation of neurological differences—as a partner, a facilitator, and a communicator; not as a spokesperson or in the stead of self-advocates.
- To breaking down prejudices and transforming assumptions about neurological differences by sharing information about these differences and the underlying similarities between all people.
- To informing the general public and specific communities about the injustices perpetrated against neurologically diverse individuals and groups, and the corrective actions which may create a more just society or community.
- To working towards a balance of appropriate accommodations, services, and care for those who face exceptional challenges due to their neurology.
- To writing and disseminating informative, persuasive, and promotional materials that address these needs.
- To utilizing personal talents and resources to accomplish this mission.
