What is Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity refers to the belief that people with differences in neurological development and neurological functioning deserve to be treated as equals. They are not disordered or disabled sub-humans who need to be controlled, restrained, or otherwise denied human rights and human dignity. Neurological differences require understanding that not everyone thinks alike, experiences the world the same, and follows the same socialization patterns.
